After the adventures of the trip out, the journey to Honolulu was thankfully very smooth. A short 45 minute flight to LA (they upgraded us to Premium Economy, typical on the shortest leg of the whole trip). Just a gentle stroll to the gate for the Honolulu flight, including time to grab a hot dog, no running required! It was an uneventful 5 hour flight to Hawaii and another 3 hours of time zone taking us to 11 hours different from the UK and 12 to France.
We caught a taxi to the hotel and the nice lady on the check out desk gave us an ocean view room in the newest tower. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is a massive resort, hopefully we'll check it out tomorrow. We had a wander down the road and had cheeseburgers and I sampled the local beer, very nice. We also bought Izzy a lei to wear.
