Lost beach and big swell

We drove right along the North shore to the NorthWest corner, to make a pilgrimage to the beach where they filmed the first series of Lost, it was a bit smaller than we had imagined, they obviously made good use of CGI. We had a picnic there and watched some guys kite surfing, they were amazingly good at it and never seemed to fall off.

We stopped in Haleiwa heading back to get something cold, the queue at Matsumoto's legendary shave ice joint was about 50 long, so we had ice cream instead! We then went to Waimea bay, a lovely sheltered bay half way back to our resort.

We all enjoyed playing in the rough waves, though the sand reached places that we're still removing it from.

Steve also jumped off the big rock at one end of the cove, ignoring Rachel's advice not to do so! Video of the jump was taken on the waterproof camcorder.
